Mindfulness exercise in everyday life.
So much frustration in allday life. There is so much that annoys me, depresses me or presses me down in my helplessness. Why focus on the negative all the time? There is definitely a lot of good things to discover in everyday life.
A wonderful exercise to be with me completely.
I have five senses. With them I perceive my environment. Am I really doing this? How consciously do I feel, taste, see all the things around me at all? What is it that thrills me?
Often the normal world made of stone, flesh and fibers is quite depressing, because here there is pain, frustration, fear, hostility, pressure and thoughts which rotating around problems. When I'm dispirited, I am always working anew up to my thankfulness.
For me, eating a meal is more than suppling the body with sustenance. Specially when the meal is cooking by myself. I put time and love into it. To enjoy the dish is a kind of soul ritual for myself.
Specially in our technical age, we are physically exposed to much radiation. Also mentally we get overflowed with information, images and crises. Of this, I can cleanse my body and my spirit by myself.
There are much types of meditation. As differently humans are, as individual can meditation be. For myself, I choose those ones which I think suits best for me.
Beside sitting, meditation can take place in moving. Die most acknown dynamic meditation is dance. Whether to the sound of a drum or with walz music, to let oneself fully in to the dance is one of the oldest meditations of human world.
After doing a lot for the Above, I want to perceive the Below also. From the mind to the roots. Such as a tree without roots, I would lose my footing without contact to the ground.
Often I hear the sentence: I lack enjoyment of life. But, what is zest for life anyway? For me, it is tracing of my senses that are given to me in allday reality.
