How can we help a suffering soul? We have therapists and doctors for our body and for our mind, but who heals our soul? In cultures from all parts of the world the shaman is that person who is able to deal with the spiritual aspect of a disease.
Our modern society wants us to believe that all things, we can register with the five senses, will connect us with the ordinary reality only. Shamanism teaches us that inner "doors" open us the way to the non-ordinary world. Everything that exists is alive and has a spirit of its own. In our modern world, many people long to feel connected to the web of life again and to break through the generally prevailing isolation.
With the help of the benevolent spirits we can live a life full of meaning, joy and passion. We shed our previous life, which was characterized by fear, like old skin and begin to grow.
